Water for Incubators

After years of feedback and study, INFORS HT has developed Water for Incubators. It is double distilled, 0.1µm filter sterilized, has a pH of 7-9 with a conductivity of 1-20 µS/cm, and is terminal sterilized. The water formulation removes certain divalent ions and raises the pH to fight off waterborne bacteria and fungi to provide a sterile culture environment.

Product specifications

  • Available as a single, double, or triple stacked system, each unit can be uniquely configured.
  • Comfortable working height of 130 mm, with an overall small footprint: 1070 x 860 x 1710 mm (triple-stacked units with low base)
  • High shaking speed and throw: 20 - 400 rpm, 25 & 50 mm, with 3 stack upper unit max 350 rpm

Optimizing HEK293 cell cultures for gene therapy applications: the role of incubator flexibility

Gene therapy is a promising approach for treating various genetic disorders and diseases. A critical component of gene therapy is the production of viral vectors, which serve as delivery vehicles for therapeutic genes. Human Embryonic Kidney 293 (HEK293) cells have become a widely used platform for viral vector production due to their efficiency in transfection and ability to support viral replication. However, optimizing HEK293 cell cultures for large-scale production of viral vectors remains a challenge in making gene therapies more accessible and cost-effective.
