Bioreactor accessory

Optek turbidity sensor

Invasive turbidity sensors for online biomass measurement

Optek ASD sensors are mounted in a port (12 mm or 25 mm) on the lid of the culture vessel. Through NIR absorption, they provide data about the growth of microorganisms and cell cultures.

Advantages

Control based on results and real-time analysis

The eve® bioprocess platform software can seamlessly monitor growth kinetics in real time, document them, and compare them to those of earlier batches. These biomass data can be used for process control tasks in jobs such as generating feeding profiles or using growth curves as a basis for inducing protein product.

Make sense of your bioprocess

Creating a seamless record of biomass concentration allows you to detect bioprocess changes in real time. This lets you identify limitations, inhibiting factors, and contamination at an early stage. Reproducibility is increased due to a lower error rate when compared with manual biomass measurement.

Ideal for a wide range of scientific applications

Directly comparing growth curves allows scientists to screen a variety of bacterial strains, allowing you to optimize your process conditions and cell clones in the shortest possible time.
